The XXIII South American Adults Fencing Championship was held in the city of
Buenos Aires. The results were as follows:
Belen Perez Maurice won the Silver Medal, Milagros Pituello won the Bronze Medal after a 15 to 11 final score over the Colombian representative. Reaults for the Teams category our representatives
obtained the Gold Medal defeating the Colombian team by 45 to 22.

The IV Ibero American Fencing Championship was held last weekend in the city of
Buenos Aires. The results were as follows:
Belen Perez Maurice won the Gold
Medal after defeating the Spanish representative Sandra Marcos in semi-finals
by 15-10 and the Colombian Nancy Vargas by 15-13 in the final assault.This is a
milestone since it is the first time a Argentinian representative wins such a
medal in the category Womens Sabre.

The National Championship was held last weekend in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe.

With 130 points Belen Perez Maurice became the Argentine Champion without losing a single assault and for the second year in a row, besides also becoming the National Champion.

Erik managed to make it into the National Team as did Milagros Pituello & Felipe Saucedo. They will all represent our Country at the next South American & Iberoamerican Championships.

Womens Sabre: Andrea Bendrich, won the Gold medal not having lost a single asault. She won the final 15 - 7 over Alicia Perroni (French Fencing Club).

Interview with Belen in Beihin TV show

Fencers Belen Perez Maurice and Milagros Pituello along with Master Lucas Saucedo initiated a international training and competition tour around several european cities.
On the 8th of February they both participated of a grand Prix in Orleans, France; a very important competition that granted points to qualify for Beijin 2008 Olympic Games. Belen achieved 3 victories (against USA, Poland and Japan); Milagros achieved 2 (against South Africa and Spain). These results placed Belen and Milagros number 72 and 103 respectively among 140 contestants in Orleans. Congratulations!
The tour takes us to Budapest, Hungary on the 23rd and 24th of February. We will work hard to make the most out of this next challenge.

In the 4th tournament of the Argentinean Championships in the Cenard, in women’s sabre Belen Perez Maurice won gold and is in first place of the mentioned championship, Adriana Attar Cohen won silver medal and Milagros Pituello finished in third place; In men’s sabre Ignacio Solari and Nicolas Alitisz won the bronze medal. The foundation won a total of 5 medals in the same weekend. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

In the Pan American World cup in Montreal, our fencers Belén Pérez Maurice and Adriana Attar Cohen obtained the 11th and 12th place after winning three bouts in the qualification pool.
Belen Perez Maurice and Milagros Pituello have traveled to Madrid to participate this weekend in the Ibero American Championships, GOOD LUCK!

In the XV Panamerican Games Rio 2007; Belén Perez Maurice won a important victory about cuban Ana Faez nº 55 in the rkg fie; Belén won 8 place in the championship; congratulations!!!!

Third tournament of the argentinian championships:

On the competition that took place at the CENARD, in Women’s Sabre Belen Maurice won the gold medal, while Adriana Attar Cohen (currently 1 st in the argentinian ranking) won silver, and Milagros Pituello won bronze.

In Men’s Sabre, Martín Lora won the bronze medal.

Martin Lora in Sabre Junior, won the Bronce Medall in the Panamerican Championship -World Cup- F.I.E., in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This is the first medal in the fundations history, CONGRATULATIONS Martin !!!!!!!

The “Argentine Fencing Foundation” won the tree medals - gold -silver -bronce, in the Argentinian Fencing Championship in Sabre woman, the last APRIL 21.
Belen Maurice won the Gold Medal.
Milagros Pituello won the silver medal.
Adrianana Attar Cohen ( she is the last Number One in Argentina ) won the Bronce Medal.
The final won Belen at Milagros 15 - 12.
Niolas Alitisz and Cristian Lora Won Bronce Medall in Sabre Men.

Cristian Lora (Epee Cadet), Augusto Beruti (Sabre Cadet), Martin Lora (Sable Junior):
This Fencers cualification for Argentine in the next Panamerican Championship in Cadets and Juniors, the Panamerican is in Buenos Aires Argentine.

Fencers Adriana Attar Cohen, Milagros Pittuelo and Belen Maurice, are since February 14th. in Budapest, Hungary in a training circuit.
After agreements with the Federation of the mentioned country, the fencers of the Foundation were able to train with the Hungarian national team, ranked in the worlds top 3 teams.
After competing in the Budapest City Cup in the individual and team events, they will move on to Madrid, to participate in the Leganes open World Cup, on the 2nd and 3rd. of March.
The main goal of such training is the preparation of these fencers for the Argentinean National Championships and classification for the Pan American Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Head Coach Lucas Saucedo had the opportunity to participate in a course of high performance sabre fencing with the best Maestros of the world.

Adriana Attar Cohen
She became Argentina’s Sabre Champion and National Sabre Champion in Rosario Sta Fe.
She has been selected to fence at the World Fencing Championship in Turin, Italy, September 29th through October 7th, and is currently training at the Scherma Club in Turin.
Besides being Argentina’s number one, she will be the team captain at the Pan-American Games to be held in Venezuela on October 25th, and the ODESUR Games in November 20th.

Nicolas Alitisz
He attained the third position in the Argentine Championship and has been selected to fence at the World Fencing Championship in Turin Italy, September 29th through October 7th.
He has also been selected to participate in the Pan-American Games to be held in Venezuela on October 25th and the ODESUR Games to be held in Buenos Aires on November 20th.

Martin Lora Grunwaldt
He became Argentina’s Sabre Champion, cadet, in Cordoba city
He won the silver medal in the South-American Championship, cadet, in Rosario city.

Cristian Lora Grunwaldt
Argentine Épée Sub-champion, cadet, in Córdoba city.
